Professional experience:

Overall more than 30 years’ experience in accounting, finance, tax, statutory audits, monthly reporting etc. – Dubai – 23 years, Singapore – 7 years.

Experience in compliances with accounting rules, standards and policies, SOX audit exposure , interacted with internal auditors ensuring adherence to maintaining proper books of accounts and financial policies, reporting to senior management for any deviations in accounting policies and procedures.

Assisted in implementation of rule book for accounts and finance in US Company forming procedures and policies to be followed with relevant delegation of authority set up limits .

Worked in US Multinationals in Dubai for more than 20 years mainly handling corporate taxes in ME areas – Saudi, Qatar, Oman and India. Interacted extensively with big 4 auditors on filing corporate tax returns , answering tax return queries and representation at the tax department in India.

Worked as Project Controls Manager in Singapore with an Oil and Gas firm handling key projects and reporting them to the CEO, mainly on their financial performance.

Experience in treasury matters – LC’s, Guarantees, facilities etc. with ADCB, Emirates Islamic bank, Emirates NBD, DBS, Singapore. 

Handled transition of accounts from different platforms to one platform encompassing different regions and currencies.
